I have a kind of weird question?

you know how when a docter checks your *privates* well i feel embarresed bout goin to my pediatrician cause he a guy but my mom says that i dont need to worry bout that and wont let me see a girl doc

what do i do

Why is your pediatrician giving you a pelvic exam anyway?  That is a gynecologists job. Maybe you can talk with your mom about the situation and come to a compromise. Let her know how uncomfortable it is for you. It's part of life, but it doesn't have to cause anxiety.

I honestly can understand how uncomfortable you must be. You should really be going to Gynecologist, anyway. I would request a female and if one is not availiable, then at least have a nurse come in with you.

Tell her you would feel more comfortable going to a gynecologist. This is a doctor that sees those parts all day. There should be a nurse in the room. However, if your mom is unrelenting, you can always tell your doctor you do not want the exam and would rather have a referral to a gynecologist. Mom can't say anything about that.

But really, a doctor does not care about one body part form the next.

Yeah, I can only imagine how you must feel getting checked like that by a male doctor. I have a female doctor and I still find it really weird! Try talking to your doctor to see if you can get a female doctor, or a nurse to do the physical. They should be happy to do so if it'll make you more comfortable.

i actually felt the same way when i went. I told my doctor i felt wierd about a guy doing it and  a nurse stayed in there with me. (some states require it due to age)  

good luck and if it still bothers you just tell your doc and he can maybe find a  girl doc to do it.

ooh i see the problem. honestly, i would like refuse to go. like seriously. its ttly normal that u dont want him to look. reallly, like when ur mom says GOTTA GO TO THE DOCTORS. refuse to let them look without it being a girl. they should respect ur privacy
