I have a kodak easyshare c813 camera?

and i have uploaded pics from it to the computer before but now when i pug it in nothing happens?????And i cant turn it on once i plug it in because my camera is just like that

  1. It sounds like one of two things. One is a bad thing. I'll assume you've put new batteries in the camera, you should only use namebrand alakines (like Duracell / Energizer), oxyride, or freshly charged Ni-MH batteries.

    1. The USB port is not providing enough power hence is sucking power from the camera. Try another USB port and computer. Cameras should be plugged directly into the computer. Avoid USB Hubs. Restart your computer as well since USB has a circuit breaker feature that can trip and shut off that usb port.

    2. The USB controller in the camera is not functioning properly causing a software error to keep the firmware from turning on. Try another computer first. If still nothing, contact Kodak support for warranty service.

    If it is out of warranty, get a card reader. They cost about $20 at electronics stores, or as low as $2 online for myster brands. You need a SD card reader. This does a similar job as the cable did, letting you offload your picture, but they're faster and preferred by photographer for speed and simplicity.
