  1. An annual ski pass to where.  There are many Ski Lodges in the area, each one will have it's own pass.  It might be better and easier to research the lodges on the internet and purchase one through their website.

You don't say how long your layover is, you would have to get there and back and then go through security again. It would have to be a pretty long layover to get this all done.

  2. Unfortunately 2 hours is not going to be enough for you to get to the ski shop and back to the airport in time.

If you can extend your time to maybe 4 hours (for cushion), the closest one will be Colorado Ski and Golf in Aurora.

Rent a car at the airport. Take Pena to I-70 West. Stay in the right lane because almost as soon as you are on I-70, get on I-225 towards South (towards Colorado Springs). When on I-225, stay on for I'd say 5 or so miles, and get off on the Parker Road exit and go West (right). And about a mile or so west you'll hit Havana. If you go past Havana you went too far. But you should actually see the Colorado Ski and Golf on your left side. Its across the street from the Hooters and in the same parking lot as Sam's #3 (a great stop for lunch if you have time).

It will probably take you about an hour round trip to get the pass.
