  1. A mildew smell will come from the prescence of mould spores.  You need to eradicate the mold and then the smell will go away.  You also need to use a product that has been tested not to damage the finsih on your leather.

    Try Em Clean from LTT as they have tested this product extensively.

Go to www.google.com and type in the words "mildew" and "leather" and you will find several websites that provide solutions.  I do wonder why the Yahoo answer thing works when simply using a search engine like Google produces better answers for general questions like this than the people on Yahoo Answers.  Some of the people here can be so rude, or simply provide useless answers to earn points.
