I have a lg 47 inch LCD tv and need help with the settings?

The picture looks distorted and I wonder what is best setting to get rid of this but still have a full picture.Any help with setting this up would be appreciated

Everyone looks fatter and or shorter than they should...

You have a TV which will display wide screen movies and TV shows. You are watching 4:3 content.

You have a choice at this point. You can either stretch the horizontal display or you will have bars on both the right and left edges of the screen. Those are your ONLY choices (or watch ONLY HD 16:9 content) where you "still have a full picture".

Read the manual folks... that is why they include it!
