  1. Dead pixel. It happens. The retailers are supposed to advise you that it can occur. I would have a go at the retailer, especially if there was no warning.

  2. If it is very heavy it is plasma (glass screen) or not it is LCD(plastic screen)

If it is less than a year old return to the store you bought it from as it will be under warranty

  3. should still be covered by its warrenty..Get you mom to get you the shop she bought it from.

  4. what have you been cleaning it with? You have probably burnt a hole from a cleaning product. I would fix it yourself ring around for a few quotes or ring ur local electrical store and see if there is a fault with the model you have u may be able to get a new one i would tell ur mum too

  5. Does the tv still work? If it does I doubt very much there is a hole in the tv. If it was plasma it wouldn't even work and if it was LCD there would be large colour distortions around the hole. Are you sure you are not seeing a dead pixel? It would look like a small black dot. If it is that noticeable you might try to exchange it but for the most part it is considered acceptable(by the manufacturer) to have a few.It never hurts to try for the exchange. Hopefully the new one won't have any.Good luck!
