I have a limewire question?

my friend made me some cds for my birthday, and i know for a fact that she used limewire. she says she has no viruses, but i'm still worried (i get a little paranoid about viruses sometimes, ha). would it be bad to put the music on my computer?

use your anti-virus protector to scan the files,and your friends anti-virus most likely notified her about something wrong on the music file and the download was canceled.thats what happens on mine it notifies me and download is canceled

some music files in limewire are safe, but not all of them, if you feel that theres a problem with it then don't download them

It should be safe, if nothing happened to her computer. Otherwise just make sure you have anti-virus protection on your computer. Try AVG for a good free anti-virus. Otherwise, you shouldn't have a problem

As long as it did not affect her computer in anyway. I've never had trouble with limewire before and if your going to use it never download anything off it ended with .exe also check the KB if downloading a song because some are virus's if the songs 2:30 + the KB should be above 2,000 anything lower is a virus.

if she has limewire pro its safe but if she doesn't i don't really think it matters, as long as nothing happened to her computer then you should be good.

but if you want to make sure tell her to go on limewire and you can download limewire pro in im pretty sure applications then just install it and you'll be safe for sure
