  1. The pictures you see might be neutered males or sexually immature males - if it looks like he's got testicles, well, he probably does.

Read this, and then click on the link that says "boy" at the very bottom:

He's not too old to be neutered. If you want him and the new rabbit to bond, they'll need to both be neutered. Don't try to introduce them before that. Even after the surgery, they'll need several weeks to heal before you should let them meet each other.

  2. use a glove and take your forefinger and middle finger to press down the vent area. The vent area is just in front of the a**s. A doe will have a slit running up and down. A buck will have a pinkish tube with a pointed end.

  3. if he has anything that looks like testicles----it's a boy!!!

He's not too old to be neutered. find a good vet who regularly treats rabbits and get him neutered. you'll find that this will help eliminate any problems he has- spraying his urine, aggressive behavior, etc.

I wouldn't recommend two boys together or two girls. you are going to have to take the time and effort to bond them slowly, you can't just throw the new rabbit into your current rabbit's environment and expect happily ever after.  Check out www.rabbit.org.  there's lots of great info there on neutering and bonding.
