So. There's a bunch of standard red bricks around, after making room for the future pond. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. I want to put them to use, for some exterior house design. Or maybe for the pond. You know, something along those lines. I just want to use them somehow.

Any suggestions.

  1. Maybe a walk-way (to the pond?).  ~or flower bed borders

  2. Use them to make a small stepped terrace, and plant herbs to make an herb garden.

  3. Would you consider using them indoors and lining a wall for an "exposed brick" look? It can look fabulous, depending on your taste/current decor style. See example:

  4. If you dig a trench about 4" deep and the width of the brick, you can lay the brick on their ends at a angle and create a nice border. Fill in and pack the dirt  and you now have something very nice.

For a extra nice touch, stand every tenth or twelfth brick straight vertical and cut the brick on either side to flush up to the vertical brick then change direction of the angle as you go.
