  1. wal-mart has recycling of shopping bags

  2. Reuse is better than recycling.   Use them as trash bags in little wastebaskets around the house, or take them with you shopping.

  3. Most grocery stores have a plastic bag recycing bin and they do not care where they come from

  4. Instead of just recycling them, crochet them into larger plastic bags that you can bring with you when shopping. Also, you can carry your own canvas bags with you to avoid receiving more.

    Here's a pattern for crocheting them: http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/cr_needlework_c...

It's easy to learn and gives you a great skill that may come in handy in the future. It will also give you something productive to do (I do mine instead of watching TV)!

  5. take them back to the store. Good day.

  6. If you like i can pick them up for you...I sale at trade fairs and always lloking for more bags...

  7. Almost all grocery stores have a box inside for recycling bags. So do Wal-mart. And of course you can contact your local recycling center also.

I rarely even get plastic bags, because I have purchased cloth and before I use to forget to take them to the store. Now I keep them in my van and whenever I go to the store, even if I just leave them in the van I can runout and get them so I don't even have to worry about taking them home with me.

  8. grocery store,

    local schools,

    recycling ben.

    :]

  9. grocery store. I recycle mine at Albertson's

  10. Glad you care about recycling and the enviorment :) You can bring them to markets where they have boxes (or bins) in the front where you can put them to be recycled. You can always use them for trash bins around your house and other stuff, too.

  11. all walmart stores have a bag recycle receptical either by the carts or at customer service

  12. It looks like everyone has already answered your question.  So, I will say that you should be using cloth bags that are reusable instead of those plastic bags.  Plastic=oil.  And, people wonder why the price of the barrel just keeps going up and up!  It is our reliance on oil driving the demand!

  13. Any of the Logli Supermarkets take these for recycling. They have big bins you can put them in right inside the doors. Hope this helps!!

  14. well technically they are recyclable but what really happens is most likely "recyclers" will ship them off to other countries where they will either be landfilled or incinerated.  what I suggest u do is either donate them to a thrift store where they will reuse it for their sales or just use them at your grocery store and get a bag refund for each bag u bring.  you will prevent bags from ending up in the landfill, you'll stop getting more plastic bags, and you'll save some money in the process.
