La Blaugrana signed the Spanish international from the English Premier League side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old, a graduate of Barcelona’s youth academy, was signed by the Gunners at sixteen. Although he was the captain of the North London outfit, he often expressed his desire to return to Catalonia.
Signing for the Spanish giants has proved to be a great shove in the career of the Spaniard, as he has managed to become a better player than he was before.
The midfielder has managed to find the back of the net 15 times, and has provided 16 assists in his first season for Barcelona; hence, taking him close to his best tally for Arsenal, which was of 19 goals.
Many believe that Fabregas has shown drastic improvement in his game-play; however, the Spaniard insists that he has much to learn yet.
While giving an interview to Revista de La Liga, the midfielder was quoted as saying:
"At the beginning it was difficult because I was going forward and I was caught out of position many times and I knew I had to learn but now in the last three or four games I've felt so much better already.
"There are so many things that I am learning from the manager's training and preparation and the way he talks. He just wants to be the best and he wants to take the best out of the players."
Barca, who were already a star studded side prior to the addition of Fabregas, were seen as a difficult side for the player to find a regular spot in. However, the Spanish midfielder has managed to become a starter for the Catalan giants with consistent
performances in his first season at the Nou Camp.
