I have a lump in/on my earlob!!?

Question

i have a little red/pinky lump in/on my right earlob, right when its connecting to the side of my head. i doubt that its a pimple, and its not going away! its also redder then my other ear. what could it be??

Do you have moles in your family? Or on you? It couid just be a new beauty mark, it takes time before they get brown. Squeeze it, if it doesn't pop then don't worry about it, let a day or 2 go by then check on it again.

Could be a lymph node, or maybe a bug bite... Try not to mess with it too much.

If it doesn't go away in a couple of weeks, try seeing a doc.

this happend to one of my friends he

put some hot water(not burning hot but pretty hot water) on a small towel thing and left it on it it will go away if you do this atleast 3 tomes a day

Any of the above responses could be correct. Are you African American, Hispanic etc. or have a darker skin color? I ask because it could also be something called a keloid that might be developing. Although a keloid can happen to anyone, is mostly likely with darker skin colors.  It's like an overgrowth of tissue in the area which results from a recent injury in the area especially common with ear piercings. The older the person is the more likely the chances are of this occuring.

A family member had one recently and had to get it taken off of his ear. It's not deadly or anything though it might hurt.

I used to have that in my earlobe, not visible. I never gave it much thought or attention, but it went away. The same thing applies to this ball-like thing in my hand near the knuckle area, and it went away after a long while. Possibly 6 months.

Things happen, and they go away... It is when they don't go away that you have to begin worrying about it. I say wait it out 6 months or so, and then see the doc. Or if you are experiencing pains or whatever, do it then.

don't worry its nothing. my friend had it as well so she went to the doctors and they said its nothing to worry about, the red lump went in 1 week. wash it with really cold water
