  1. If you are anywhere near puberty then the lump is probably related to hormonal changes, even if you are male. If you are going through puberty then this breast lump will disappear after your hormones normalize. If you are over age 60 then breast cancer is a possibility. See your Dr for an exam if you think you might have cancer because male breast cancer can be deadly.

  2. Possibly, if you recently just noticed it, you should go to the doctor! If it has always been there, then most likely not but if it is new, you should just go to the doctor.

  3. men can get breast cancer but its less likely then women. if it doesnt go away in about a week or u might wanna go 2 a doctor

  4. You don't give your age, but I think from your Q&A that you're probably quite young - forgive me if I'm wrong.

The first thing to realise is that the chances of a very young man getting breast cancer are as close to zero as makes no difference.

Men do get breast cancer, but fewer than 1% of those diagnosed with breast cancer are male.

And 80% of all people diagnosed with cancer are over 50; most men diagnosed with it are over 60.

It's rare in women under 40, and almost unheard of in under 25s.

So you can see how huge the odds against a male teenager or young male adult getting breast cancer are.

Most breast lumps in men are actually a condition called gynaecomastia, a button-like growth under the nipple and areola area that can be felt and is sometimes visible to the naked eye. Occasionally it can be quite tender.

This increase in the amount of breast tissue is not a tumour and occurs due to changes in hormone balances at times like adolescence.

You should see his doctor for reassurance

  5. Not to alarm you, but men *can* get breast cancer.  It is rare, but it would not hurt to get it checked out, especially if breast cancer runs in your family (mom/sister/grandma/aunts). This will also give you peace of mind, which is beneficial no matter what your health situation. Good luck!
