  1. if you want to breed them you have to put the female in a different tank or even a clear cup for a day beside the male bettas tank and then if the male has a bubble nest made (looks like foam) than you put them in until he starts being really agressive then you take the female out and somtimes they wont breed so you'll need extra females you'll need only 2  leave the male in the tank he will look after the eggs the eggs take 1-3 days to hatch and wen they start to hatch take the male out or he will eat them and you feed them brine shrimp or microworms ( lots of people prefer microworms ) untill they are about 6 months old then you can feed them flake food and dry blood worms.

use the link below it is very helpful i used it with my microworms wen i first got mine and it really is usful DONT USE YEAST IT MAKES UR CULTURE SPEED UP AND DIES QUICKER AND THEY SMELL BAD WEN THEY DIE CAUSE OF THE YEAST

P.S all you need to know about breeding bettas is above i rly hope this helps you

  2. You need to do some serious research.  Although fairly easy to breed, it can be difficult for a beginner to raise the fry.

    1.  No, the pair can't be kept together until both have been conditioned and are ready to spawn.

    2.  The female must be removed after they've finished spawning.

    3.  You can't make them have babies, they're egg layers.

See below site.  It's just one of many.  Do a search for "breeding bettas".
