I have a male glaceon but if i put him in a day care with a ditto will the egg still be an eevee?

Yes. It will be an eevee. Now you may think this is a bad thing but you can keep doing this to get more and more eevees. Then, you can get all of the different evolve forms of eevee. Here is a list of most of the forms:

fire stone = Flareon / water stone = Vaporeon

thunder stone = Jolteon / Level up eevee near the mossy rock in Eterna Forest to get Leafeon / Level up eevee near the snow-covered rock near Snowpoint City to get Glaceon.....(sorry i dont know how to get Espion and Empoleon)
