  1. Weight is measured as a force, which is in newtons. Mass is measured in kilograms. to work out weight to times your mass by the constant for gravity, this is often 9.8 or 9.81.

    therefore 52 x 9.81 = weight = 510.12N

  2. N.B. for those who seem confused - weight is measured in newtons, mass in kg.

    Your footsize is irrelevant - that would be needed to calculate the foce your weight exhurts ont he ground.

    Your weight is your mass (52 kg) multiplied by 9.81 (the gravitational feild strength of the earth).

    Therefore your weight is...

    ...510.1 N

  3. Your weight will simply be F = m*a (where a = g = 9.81) Newtons

    Since the heel area is given to us, i think they are asking for pressure exerted on the ground or load on that area. Pressure is a function of Force per unit area and if the area reduces and force stays the same, the pressure increases. Therefore, in comparison with your weight, pressure exerted on the ground by your whole foot will be much smaller than the heel. In order to find that, you need to calculate the weight which is showed u before and divide by area (make sure your units are in  sq. metres). This will give you pressure on one heal, but why would you stand on one foot. Therefore, the answer you get, divide it by 2 and that would be the final answer.

    So essentially, it will be:

    P = (m*g)/(0.005*.005*2)

    Hope that helps

  4. On earth that would be 52kg.

  5. Weight in SI units is actually a force in Newtons, assuming you are on earth:

    weight = m*g = 52kg * 9.8m/s2 = 510N.

    For pressure on floor, assuming all weight on one heel which happens when walking and is the worst case,

    Pressure = force / Area

    =510N/(.005m)^2 = 20.4 MPa.

    Ouch! That's a nasty high heel. Don't walk on my wood floor!

  6. 51.97Kg

  7. huh?

    52 * 9.8 is your weight in Newtons.

    52 is your weight in kg.

  8. Mass is a relationship of weight and volume, your weight is 52Kg, it is your mass that is unknown

  9. 52kg x 9.81m/s² = A weight of 510.12 Newtons (510 N).

  10. 52kg
