  1. -2

    it is the answer, because with a negative that can not be true can be paired with another negative to make a positive: ie, -+-=+!!!

  2. -2=]

    haha i want best answer=]

    ill give u a star

  3. there are a couple of ways to approach this.

    1.  add x to both sides

      get x+7=5

    now subtract 7 from both sides

    get  x=-2

    this way takes 2 steps, but you do not get the opposite of x as you will with the one step method,

    2.  subtract 5 from both sides

    2= -x

    two = the opposite of x so x must be -2

    OR you could say multiply both sides by -1 and get -2=x

    good luck.

  4. 7=5-x

    2=-x

    -2=x

  5. 7=5-x

    +x   +x=

    7+x=5

    -7     -7=

    x=5-7

    therefore..

    x= -2

    =]

  6. -2

  7. OK, I will teach you how to solve problems like this, instead of simply giving you the answer.  So you have 7=5 - x, in order to find x, you must perform some math "tricks" (or algebra).  When you have a problem like this you can rearrange the problem to solve for x.

    We want to get x by itself of the left side of the equation.  In order to do that, we must move the 5 to the other side.

    So since 5 is a positive number, we must subtract a 5 from the left side to get 0 - x.  However, what you do to one side or the equation, you must do to the right, to keep things even.

    So you would have 7 - 5 = 5-x-5.  What is the solution?

    2 = -x.

    Now you have the opposite of x = 2.  To fix this you would need to flip the sign of 2 and -x.  (Technically you would multiple both sides by -1) resulting in -2 = x.  That how you do it, each and every time.

    If it needs to be moved to a different side and its

    added on the original side, it must be subtracted from both

    subtracted on the original, it must be added to both

    multiplied on the original, it must be divided on both

    divided on the original, it must be multiplied on both

    Hope this helps.

  8. 7=5-x

    x=-2

  9. Easy. Rearrange the problem. You have to solve for x. so add x to both sides and subtract the 7s. you get x=5-7, x=-2 is your anwser

    what grade are you in? just curious

  10. 7     = 5 - x

    +x    +x

    ------------------

    7+x =5

    -7    -7

    ------------

    x = 5-7

    x = -2

  11. In this problem, the first thing you should do is subtract 5 from both sides, leaving you with 7-5 = 5-5-x, or 2 = -x.  If you divide by -1, you get -2 = x.  There's your answer

  12. 7=5-x

    7-5=-x

    2=-x

    -2=x

  13. x = -2

  14. I'm not 100% sure because I don't really  get how the question is worded, but i'd say x=-2

  15. x= -2

    because

    7-5= -x

    2= -x

    therefore

    x= -2

  16. X = 5 - 7 = -2

  17. 7=5-x

    => 7+x = 5 , by additive property of equality

    => x= 5-7 ,by additive property of equality

    =x=  -2

  18. 7=5-x

    7-5= -x

    2=-x

    x= -2
