I have a mechanical problem with my car, what can be the problem?

my check engine light is still on after i got my problem solved. my sensors werent working, the oxygen and mass airflow sensor. the problem was from my mass airflow tube, had a big rip in it. i replaced the hose, but the engline light is still on, why is that? i have a mazda, Protege 99

you need to clear the code from the cars computer

Correct clear the codes, unhook the negative battery cable for about 1 min then reconnect see if that fixes it, if not run the codes again some other code may have popped up because of working on car.
