I have a medicaid question for Pregnant mom?

I'm 19 weeks pregnant, my husband makes 17,000 on his salary. Do we qualify for medicaid? I quit my job cause we are moving...that's our only money coming in. I applied for medicaid and the social worker said my husband made too much money. I mean that less than 2,000 a month and we have a son. So, I'm a little confused. I got medicaid with my first son and made close to 2,000 on my own. I think the lady is trying to scam us for some reason. I contacted someone else and they are having me redo it with them. If we don't get it, which I hope. What is another option for lower income families (oregon) if you don't qualify for medicaid?

you should have qualified but if you don't qualify for medicaid you could always get family health plus which you apply for the same way its just like medicaid expect you have co-pays

yuo should  have qualified. However, if you didnt, ask them for info on doctors with payment plans,or even for other forms of assistance.

All of those "pregnancy card" insursances are pretty much scams. You're better off working out a payment plan with your doctor if you cant get any insurance. Don't waste your money. There are SO many scams with these companies... I looked into them before I got on Medi-Cal.

Go here. It's the next best thing to medicaid for ppl who are over  the income limit to be eligible for medicaid. Good luck and congrats!!
