the driveway goes straight into the one car garage although before theres cement to the left before you hit the house, which leads to the two steps and the front door of my house. Im trying to find neat ideas to add to make the driveway/entrance to the house look better, I was thinking some lights that lead to the front door,,,you know like the ones you put in the grass that light up in the dark..Im good at doing things myself but not that great at decorating modernly. any suggestions ??? and I really dont think a young working professional cat like myself should put flowers. but thats just my opinion

  1. You could pave the sides of your driveway. Not only will it enhance the look of your driveway, but the size will increase widthwise. Flagstones would look good for a young, male (I assume male) working professional. Bricks would make the yard look tidy and proper. Cobblestones would make the yard look European. It depends on what type of house you have.

It's fairly simple to install: dig some dirt, layer with sand, lay paving blocks, sweep sand between crevices. Ok, there's a little more to it than that, but that's the gist of it.

Lights would be good, but don't go too crazy with a light trail. A couple of lights here and there will help, but balance the number of lights with the size of the yard.

Maybe a railing for the two steps and front of the house? Done right, it looks pretty sharp.
