I have a Kodak EasyShare m763. I know how to upload pics without the memory card. I just plug it in the USB and click on ON/OFF and they download.

I have an SD 1gb memory card for it, and when I try to upload it, the first 2 tries it would download to like 90% or even 100% and then say it's restarting and I must close the program.

I have 350 pictures on there right now, and they're from a mission trip that I just got back from and want to make a DVD out of. So can anyone help me please?

Oh yeah, now when I do that nothing even shows up. I have the album but no pics in it.

  1. Try uploading 100 pics at a time. When trying to upload so many pics at 1 time the computer may not be able to handle everything all at once. There also could be a corrupt pic in there that is causing the program to crash thus leaving with nothing because it didn't complete the task of uploading the entire 350. Just doing a little at a time should enable you to upload everything or if you do have a corrupt pic you can pinpoint it. Good Luck

  2. Cameras often auto-shut down after they've been on awhile, and with that many photos, that is what is probably happening.

Sometimes, you can keep the camera awake by hitting a control that won't affect the download, but the easier thing to do is to get a card reader and mount your SD card as a removable drive and download it directly.

    http://www.supermediastore.com has inexpensive card readers.

  3. You said you have an SD memory card that you use inside your Kodak, correct?

I'm not familiar with downloading from Kodak's, but SD memory cards are pretty much all the same.

Check your computer for a memory card slot, typically on the left.

If you can find it, slip the SD card into the slot when you want to download from it.

If you're running Windows XP or Vista, the AutoPlay feature should pop-up, when fully inserted, asking which task you want to perform.

Choose "Open Folder To View Files".

This enables you to select all photos on the card and cut/paste them into your folder of choice on your computer.

It's a pretty simple process, and should be much less troublesome for you than using the USB port.
