  1. The metal frame type is u have to nail it to the side of the frame.  Than u suppost to buried it in stucco.  By code u must install the moisture shield inside the window before u put the window on.  (Laping paper.)  The other type of metal window is - u must nail it to the middle of side frame.  Which is a slip on type.  Custom fit.  U caulk it so moisture cannot get in on side of frame.

  2. Drill two holes in each side and, hang with these, screws in the sides.

  3. Hammer the nails from the inside out. Open the window, on the side there are rails, nail through completely, make sure the nail is flush with the surface or the window will hang up on you. Shim the edges as needed.

  4. You have one of two situations. You either have a flanged window which is typically used in masonary openings(but not exclusively) or you have a finned window that has been stripped of its fins. This style is commonly used in new construction situations, but can be adapted to retro by drilling holes through the sides and s******g the unit in the opening. If the first is your case you should already have found the predrilled holes.(if you`ve opened the window)

If you have the second, make sure you don`t drill s***w holes in spots that will impede the movement of the sash. Email me if you wish.

  5. set the window in place with foam insulation.
