I have a micron computer how can i remove the manufacture anti virus that dont work,

i am receiving "page can not be displayed" messages. i tried the control panel, add/remove software, the anti v. is not located there. i want to download my own anti virus i bought, but it will not download b/c it notice my computer have a anti v. already that need to be removed 1st.

before downloading another which will cause conflict.

what anti virus do u have now???

go to the bottom right hand side of ur taskbar and near the clock u'll have icons, highlight them and see if you have anything that says anti virus. if it does then find that program either in add/remove programs and remove it or if you cant find it try to find it under START -> PROGRAMS -> and see if there is any uninstaller to uninstall it.

The "Page cannot be displayed" msg can also be due to poorly configured firewall/ internet connection.
