I have a model audition this afternoon and am brainstorming the perfect eyeshadow colors. I have strawberry-blonde hair, blue-green eyes, fair skin, and my outfit consists of a green top with a cream-colored cami worn underneath.

I am thinking of using gold as the base eyeshadow, but I don't know. What would be the best colors?

  1. I don't know what you are auditioning for, but if it is a modeling agency they do not want to see you with eyeshadow.  You should not wear makeup, just a little concealer where you need it, brown mascara, and chap stick.  If its for something else (not an agency) then go ahead and do your face up.  Also I am not sure what your outfit consists of but I would not wear layers.  Just wear the cami so they can see your figure.

  2. i wouldnt wear too much makeup. you want them to be able to see you as a blank canvas, something that they can change into whatever they need. so i would go for very very natural makeup.

concealer, foundation, blush, mascara and a nice natural lip stain and some gloss. also a highlight eyeshadow under your brows and maybe on the inner corner of ur eye. that'll give you a really pretty look. if you want to be creative, do it with your accessories.

    good luck!

  3. is it called john cassablanca?

  4. i would try to stay natural as possible

    or even wear none.

models arnt supposed to wear loads of eyeshadow and makeup

    and stuff,

because they are looking for someone with natural beauty.

but, if you really want to wear makeup just do a light cream shimmer or something like that.

  6. You want to be very very cautious with makeup/clothes when you audition.

Think of yourself as a CANVAS to people who are going to hire you. They really do not want to see you done up. I've been told several times on auditions that I should be wearing a white t-shirt and jeans, ideally. The simpler you look, the easier it is for them to see YOU and not the clothes or the makeup.

Of course, no girl wants to go completly bare-faced, that's pretty intimidating.

But stick to neutrals, and avoid shimmer. Go for a slightly smudged brown liner to make your eyes pop out, and a little white in the inner corner and underneath the brow bone. Sweep a champagne colour on the rest of your eyelid.

In my opinion, they will appreciate the fact you know how to pull your look together while looking natural and crisp.

    Good luck with it!
