  1. OK, I've answered this question before so everyone make note. For you Sam, the first thing is to find the VIN, as the other answer said, it should be (by law) on the front downtube, usually by the neck. It will be a sticker with other info on it like GVW (gross vehicle weight) , tire inflation and specs. If you don't have this you are pretty much screwed- unless you have a bill of sale with an identifying number like engine serial... then, on a good day your state may title it as salvage or home built. HERE'S the important stuff... to trace a VIN which is a WMI (worldwide motorvehicle identification) CODE you must contact the issuing body... of all people, the society of automotive engineers. SO... ya'll ready...

SAE 400 Commonwealth Dr. Warrendale Pa. 15096-0001

  2. just look on the frame, mines on the neck where the forks go...

there's a thousand legitimate reasons why a motorcycle/atv might not have a title... assuming it's stolen is like walking in on someone sleeping and calling 911 assuming they're dead.

  3. No VIN no title, simple as that, the VIN should be on the frame. ATVs and motorcycles are a high theft item. No title tells me it has been stolen beofre, a key switch is easy to replace. All a thief does is steals the bike, buys a 40.00 switch and a new key (or steals it from somewhere else) and he makes a few bucks real fast.
