  1. you have a rite to have peace so telll her to keep it down or practice somewhere else

  2. Hello,

Your problem is not clarified .

is the music goes on for a longer time,

or is the music is a crab for u,

or u want to be at ur home in relaxed & suddenly your teacher starts the music.

    the answer is

if u want to relax really then the music is the best thing to entertain ur mind. boss enjoy the show .

or think ur music learning is absolutely free.

try it & reply me .

  3. You could let him/her know that the sound is disturbing you and ask if they can limit the practicing to a time of day when you're not home.

  4. start playing loud music over the radio or start giving music lessons.

  5. Check your local ordinance.  There may be measured noise limits, and this may be even lower at night.  Teaching music is also a business, and many residential areas are zoned against business.

However, this teacher is teaching music to earn a living.  Do you really want to deprive her of that, and go to war?  I would suggest other options, such as planting shrubs between your houses to absorb some of the sounds.  Bring her a plate of cookies and talk to her nicely about the situation, perhaps she'll split the cost of the bushes, or maybe even a baffled fence.

  6. Unless it's after 10 pm or quiet hours, there isn't anything you can do.

You can ask the teacher if they could keep it down, but if it's the day hours you really have no say in the noise.

  7. Depending on how long the noise goes on and at what times, I'd talk to your neighbor to let them know when it's most disturbing to you and on what levels. I'm sure she/he doesn't MEAN to be disturbing and is simply trying to make a living. I would talk to him/her first to see what can be worked out. If that doesn't go well, I'd check with the police for your local sound ordinances to see if you can have that enforced (but that would cause lots of stress and awkwardness between the two of you). Try to fix it with negotiating first, I think. Good luck with that. If not, you might have to invest in some earplugs.

  8. Look into the zoning in your neighborhood.  If it allows residential use only, the music lessons could be considered a business and may be illegal.  However, realize that if these are privately-owned homes, rather than apartments with a lease, the music teacher can still practice, rehearse with ensembles, etc.  You may just be out of luck.
