  1. HI JC.    You know... I think it would be best for you to find out what it is actually worth before knowing what it might bring....  maybe alot?  maybe not that much?  No one here can answer that so you should take your clarinet to a music store...  one that buys used instruments,  sells new ones and also repairs them.   You don't actually have to sell it to them, but unless you know a fair value of the clarinet... you will not know what to ask for it or what to accept if someone makes you an offer.   Then you can try to sell on eBay >Musical Instruments>Woodwinds>Clarinet... or on CraigList . org >Your  City>Musical Instruments.  Other ideas...  Local Newspaper,  church Bullitin Board or Grocery Store Bullitin Board.    But really.... it is important for you to get the instrument appraised...  as well as have the musical instrument repair tech evaluate it's current playing condition.   Hope my suggestions were helpful to you.   Thanks for reading.

  2. I could be wrong, but i'd be tempted to watch e bay for a bit to see what similar clarinets sell for, then advertise it with a substantial reserve.

If you do this, photograph it well and do some research so that you can describe it accurately.

  3. Ebay is the most popular answer, but when you decide where to sell it can you please e-mail me, I might be interested in buying it.

  4. ebay or amazon

  5. I have two similar clarinets: Leblancs (a b flat and an a) that are 50-60 years old.

Make sure you do lots of research before you sell it; use the serial number located on the back of the clarinet body. Call the maker and find out the exact year and location (if possible) the clarinet was made.

Have at least 2 woodwind repair professionals (look for independent ones, not affiliated with large companies) look at the clarinet for hairline cracks, keys that are slightly bent, and anything else that could be easily fixed. He/She may be able to get the clarinet in good playing condition (if it is not already) which greatly increases the value.

Go to www.clarinet.org, the International Clarinet Society, this website may have places to advertise and also has repair personel contact info. Also consider placing advertisements in musicians union newpapers.
