I have a new Mac desk top - should I install internet protection and if so which one?

virus protection: don't waste your time with it.

internet protection:  go for it.  it's way better to be protected than having hackers intrude your network.  and yes, there are vulnerabilities that exist for macs.  as for what you should do, fool around with the preferences already in the mac before installing internet protection.  if you mean firewall, that's all in the preferences i think.
