Ok, I just bought the new sony HD sound bar system. Even though it sounds great!!! I want to hook up some rear wireless speaker kit. however, the Sony system only has 4 HDMI ports. 3 Digital Optical ports and a single analog audio port. 1 Coaxil audio digital input and the digital media port.

The wirless kit (Rocketfish makes) uses speaker wire only. Is there anyway to run speaker wire into a setup, that would hook up to any of these ports?

  1. haaa cant do it

  2. No. The Soundbar concept is a "phantom"  rear or a reflected rear design. Meaning that either it tricks your ear into beleiving that you hear something behind you or it uses the walls in the room to actually deliver sound behind your from the soundbar. These systems do not use actual rear speakers and have no provision for it.

If you want to use actual rear speakers then a soundbar is the wrong system.
