I have a new bike and I rotate my pedals and it has no effect on the wheel. What is wrong?

  1. if you see inbetween your 2 pedals (where the connect) their should be a little round thing with spikes (Sprocklets) just pick the lose chain back up and put each gap that the chain has into each spike. Your hands might get a little dirty, just wash it off.


  2. What I've done with mine (I have this problem, too) is bop the rear axle with a sledgehammer (lightly) and then sit and pedal really slow, or back up a few feet and it catches. It will sometimes catch, and you can pedal forward. But if you stop pedalling, it spins loose again. Then you can pedal at a slow speed, and slowly start to pedal faster, then it might catch. I'll add to this if I make more progress.

  3. Is the chain on the sprockets?
