  2. You don't. That's why they are copy protected.

    Also, if you are trying to copy a movie DVD, it's just not a matter of copying the DVD. The type of DVD movies are recorded on are multi-layered and can't be copied onto a standard DVD.

    your DVD writer may not even have the ability to write to multi-layered DVDs.
