I have a new english five pence piece which has been imprinted incorrectly is this worth anything?

Apart from five pence obviously.

The imprint on both sides is quite a long way off centre. I know that misprinted stamps have some value but is the same true for coins?

It will depend on how many coins like it are in circulation , there could be thousands of them .If you have the only one or you think you have, it may be worth ask this question on some of the coin collectors forums , for a definitive answer

That depends on whether someone is willing to pay to add to a collection.Like double headed coins.You can post it on ebay to see what kind of offers you get.
