I have a new laptop and daughter used it and now it's slow when i try to go online,,help! i called help desk ?

i don't know what she did and i called toshiba help desk and told me to "restore" it but it's still the same. help! whenever i try to go to a website, it takes forever and then it tells me it can't go to that site. internet at home is working fine since my husband's laptop has internet connection. it's a toshiba fusion!

Check if you're connected to a network.  Open the network and sharing center and see.  Check if the network you're connected to is your home network.

If you're not connected to network, make sure the wireless switch on the computer (front or side) is in the on position.  

If you are connected, but not to your network, in the network and sharing center choose connect to a network.  Choose show all and click the refresh button.  Find your home network and click connect (and check start this connection automatically).  If there's a key or passphrase, you'll need to enter it.

If you don't see your network, you'll have to enter the information manually.
