I have a new product that i want to take to a number of companies. what is the best way to approach them?

Write a brief letter outlining basic details of your product and why you believe it would help them and ask for an appointment so you could demonstrate it.

Consider taking out a patent on it if appropriate. You could approach them personally, but they probably won't see you without an appointment. Write describing the product and enclose pics. Emails tend to end up in the bin in a busy office.
