  1. Are you asking what order to put them in?  I assume if you have two, you already know about rear-facing vs front-facing.  If your toddler can walk, put the infant in the infant carseat in the house.  Your toddler can follow you (while carrying the infant) out to the car.  Put the infant down while you buckle in your toddler.

Another way is to get your toddler in the car and then snap the carseat into the base (or strap it down).  Then move around to the other side and get your toddler strapped in.  Depending on the age of your toddler, he or she could even help out.  Make it a game.  "Caleb - how fast can you get up in your seat?"  It may keep your toddler busy while you're getting your infant in the car.

  2. Since most people here didnt really comprehend what you were asking I'll try to help. I would definetly put the newborn in a rear facing carseat in the middle of the back seat. That will be the safest for the baby. Then you can put your toddler seat on either side.

  3. step 1...pick up newborn

    step 2...put in car seat

    step 3...strap them in

step 4...repeat steps 1-3 on toddler

  4. Technically, I believe the children have to be of certain height now before they can be without a booster. I want to say it's 5 feet, but I'm not sure. Try and look it up. But, the proper way of course would be to have them both be in the back seat. If it comes down to it, the toddler can help manage the newborn, it would give her/him a great sense of accomplishment too feeling like their a great big brother/sister.

  5. The newborn should be in a rear facing infant carseat and in the middle and the toddler on either side in their carseat.

  6. I would have the infant carrier in the house and put the infant in it going out the door. Set the baby down and put the toddler in his carseat, then strap the infant carrier down

  7. The safest position is for the infant to be in the middle rear seat, and the toddler on the outer passenger side.  Also keep in mind that the infant should be in a rear facing infant seat until at LEAST 1 year old AND 25lbs, though it is much safer to keep the child rear-facing as long as possible.  The toddler of course should be in a 5 point harnessed carseat, until depending on your state laws he/she is able to be in a booster.

  8. you have baby car seats for new born and toddlers too

you have all the instructions in the packaging of the baby car seats.

Opt for a well known brand. The sales persons will help you too in choosing what best fits your requirements

  9. Now ur prob like wow letting a teenager answer isnt smart but i got an A in child development The carrier has to be buckled in facing towards the seat (the babys face is facing the seat itself.

  10. the new born in a rear facing carseat on either left or right, and toddler in front facing carseat on either left or right ,never in the middle as the seat belt isnt suitable ,please do not put the newborn car seat in the middle trust me i have 5 kids from 10yrs to 5 mnths ,i drive a nissan patrol ,unless the middle belt is the same as the side belts dont do it , go to halfords or mothercare they will  advise u , untill then be safe not sorry ,(no middle belt )

  11. If you have a toddler I would hope you know this answer already. Your toddler should be in a 5 point harness carseat front facing and your infant should be in a rear facing car seat. Take your vehicle to a car seat check point to be sure the seats are installed properly and that they are the apprpriate seats for your children's weight. You check with your local police department to find out where to get this checked.
