I woke up yesterday morning with an achey feeling in my left eye. As the day progressed it got itchy and it felt so good to rub it. I woke up this morning and under my eye is swollen and puffy (looks like someone punched it), and still achey and itchy. It is watering every now and then, not a lot but my eye wasn't stuck crusty. It is also not pink in color. I am worried because I have a 7 week old and I don't want to give this to her if it's contagious. I was thinking maybe it was allergy pink eye, but it is only in one eye, which I thought it is usually both eyes. Also, how long does it take for the crustiness to show up if I have the bacterial or viral pink eye? Today is Sunday so I cannot go to eye doc til tomorrow, but I want to hear any opinions you might have til then. Thanks

  1. there is no opinion but get to the doctor first thing in the morning ,if pink eye it can go from one eye to the other and you don't want your baby to get it ,best thing to do is stay out of the babies face until you can see a doctor ,

  2. Be sure to wash to wash your hands a lot, especially after you have touched around the area, before you touch the baby. It can be spread by contact and don't use the same face cloth. Other than that, you will have to wait until you see the doctor to know for sure, and get drops.
