I have a nikon D70 can I use a nikon SB20 flash with it?

  1. The SB-20 is perfectly compatable with the D70 *IN NON-TTL AUTO MODE*

    I use even older flashes on my D3 in A mode.  The only flash I own that doesn't work well on the D3 is the SB-29 because it has no A mode (only TTL or M).

    Its a total fallacy that non-iTTL flash units are totally useless on digital bodies.


  2. The Nikon D70 isn't compatible with older flashes unfortunately :(

    You'll have to buy a newer one. SB600 or SB800.  Don't now pricey they may be.
