In thoery teflon is thought to be toxic if ingested

Yes b/c It may say non stick but its not i think the surface is some type of foil an once the foil comes off the pan going to get rust on it then its no good.

I heard that it is dangerous to eat teflon flakes! I think its time to invest in a new one, it's not worth the potential health risks! Throw it away and buy a new one!

No.  I throw mine out, though, because they allow food to stick.
