  1. Google Touchcopy.  It's a program that transfers music from your ipod to your computer.  It costs about $25, but it's easy to use and effective.

  2. You can these steps below, it works on the newer gen ipods except the touch and iphone. Im pretty sure it'll work on the older ones too.

You can also try a program called Floola. You can get it at snapfiles.com or just a net search. Its a third party program that will allow you to extract files off the ipod. Thes programs can sometimes be specific to particular ipod mod's and so it's possible it wont work. Dont worry though, there is a way to get that stuff off you'll just need to find the right program if Floola doesnt work for you.

But try the steps below first.

This method will work to get to the files on the ipod but its not easy finding a particular song its best used to extract everything.

    1) Open itunes, under the summmary tab there is an option to enable disk mode, enable disk mode.

    2) Minimize itunes, and open my computer.

    3) Open the ipod disk drive.

    4) After the ipod disk drive window is open, at the top of the window click, 'tools.'

    5) At the bottom of the list, click 'folder options.'

    6) Select the 'view tab'

    7) Alittle ways down the list you can see the option to 'show all hidden files and folders' click to enable the feature.

    8) Apply the settings chages, and exit out to the ipod disk drive window.

    9) Now you will see a folder called 'ipod_control' , open it.

    10) In this folder, open the music folder.

    11) All the files on you ipod are located in these files all the files start with the letter F.

Highlight all the files and move them (COPY & PASTE) to you PC then import them into itunes.

Note, if some of the files on your ipod are bought (copyrighted) the new PC will need to be authorized

    to play the files.

  3. you will need to have a 3rd party tool to help you copy songs in your ipod to computer as itunes blocks the ipod-to-computer transfer, here is a review of top 5 ipod  copying softwares(windows/mac): http://www.ipodtocomputer.net
