I have a older HDTV which is not totally HDTV compliant. Which Blu Ray movies require HDCP complaint monitors?

    But you can use component cables.  Your TV is a 720p anyhow, so HDMI (or DVI) does not add much value.

Depending on what your TV is if it's 1080i (interlaced) that's still nice but if you are watching Blue rays 1080 is the highest rating but it will be a while before you see the use of the 1080p (progressive) screens unless you are a big gamer but, the coast for that little i or p is usually from $100 to $1000 depending on the size.  If I could afford it I would go ahead and get the progressive scan because you are not going to want to by another HD TV in 6 months from now for although a better picture probably not what it will be worth.

    If you do play PS3 games go ahead and get the best and use a dvi cable w/o question.  i don't think you can get a better set up.

    Oh I am sorry I didn't fully read the part about the DHCP compliant monitors but I was around for the beta wars and I have to say please do not jump on the HD stuff for a life preserver because I think they will sink like lead waits in less than 2 years.
