Don't know what kind of videos but your serve might delete thim if they determine you are doing it for the sole purpose of distributing them to friends.

Since all sites CAN differ you need to ask your own server how you upload the videos

Depends on how your website is set up. If you have a youtube type setup which you can find for Joomla you can just upload them like you would at youtube. If not you'll probably have to upload them to the server via FTP software like WS FTP PRO, or CUTE FTP... your webhost should provide you with the necessary information to login via FTP to your server.

The easiest way probably is to upload your videos at youtube, or google, and embed them on your webpage, but this often isn't desireable if you're marketing something.
