  1. A lump under the armpit is usually a swollen lymph node. You can usually cure it by doing a detox. If it persist more than a week I'd see a doctor. They might be able to offer you something to aid in returning it to normal.

  2. My grandson had an infected cyst under his arm pit. It was red and looked like it could be squeezed. My daughter took him to the doctor and they pricked it with a needle and used Q-tips to squeeze it. He was put on antibiotics, He was 8 at the time. So this may be what you have or an infected lymph node. Check the other lymph nodes in your body and see if they are swollen. I would have it checked out by a doctor as soon as you can. Don't put it off as it could infect your whole body.

  3. There are lymph nodes in anyone's armpits -- there are some by your throat, and on other parts of your body. They tend to swell if your body is fighting an infection, like a cold, although the lymph nodes in your neck are more common. It might be that. They're part of your immune system that kind of trap pathogens. When they're swollen, they usually hurt. But it's not anything to worry about too much, especially if

you have a cold or something. For the lymph nodes in the throat, some kids almost always have swollen ones. If it doesn't go away after about a week and you feel fine otherwise, you could always go to a doctor. Swollen lymph nodes aren't really diagnostic, but if you have health problems, it might be something to worry about.
