I have a painting and it's either Japanese or Chinese??? I need to know what it means, Please!

  3. I don't understand what you mean "I don't know what a painting means."

    Is it calligraphy?  If it is, sometimes it's very hard to decipher the writing.

  4. you shouldn't be worried about it a lot.

    Since Japanese comes from Chinese both are read the same by both cultures somewhat, and usually have a similar meaning.

    like I have a necklace that is chinese for 'friendship' and it means 'friend' in japanese.

    If you look up chinese characters and japanese characters there are distinct differences in the style and detail. that should help you out with it a bit more.
