I have a pair of Shimano SPD pedals on and old mtn bike and need an adapter for them?

I have an old Specialized w/ Shimano SPD pedals. Does anyone know where I can get a set of adapters to allow me to use regualar street shoes or sandals with these? Thinking of a platform that someone makes that will allow slow cruising without wearing cycling shoes.

ask at your local bike shop if they have any of the snap in platforms that often come with bikes with SPD pedals. they snap in, and give you a platform on one side. I may have a couple of sets in my bike shed..
