I have a panasonic VDR_D220 DVD video camera. Is there any way i can play back my dvd-rw disc in my dvd player without finalizing the disc first?

finalizing the disc is what makes it compatible with other players.  unless it is finalized, it will only play back in the camcorder.  If you can successfully view the contents of the disc from the camcorder into your computer, you may simply be able to copy the files from the disc to the PC and then playback as if it is a finalized video, but there is no guarantee.  also, it depends on the formatting method you used.  when you insert the -RW disc it should ask whether you want to format in Video or VR format.  If you formatted in video, it will only become a DVD-V for playback after finalization.  If you chose VR format, you may be able to get the VRO files from the disc to your computer.
