I have a panasonic nv-ds15 why does it playback in black and white?

the screen and the viewfinder both show colour images whilst recording but when you playback its black and white even when connected to the tv.

  1. Black and White is one of the camcorder's special effects - check that you haven't switched it on by mistake.


  2. Is the socket you are using on the tv been swithced to S-video (aka YC)  input?   Check telly handbook, they can usually be switched back.

    Failing that it sounds like a duff cable.
