I have a panosonic5 cddisc playerand twin cassette can work cassette and radio can load c ds but cant p;ay it?

i can load the cds but cant get it to play can anyone help

make sure the cd is clean on no major scratches and make sure your playing original cd some cd players dont always pick up burnt cd's  but other than that if it still dont work then its broke 4 good

I take it this is home hifi: Does the CD player say the discs are playing or not? If not, the laser lens may need cleaning, or the laser may have failed.

If it's a separates system, are the phono cables from CD to amp correctly connected, and the input selector on the amp pointing to the CD input?
