  1. This is pretty natural in every bird I've ever owned.   Food is a big deal for birds.  Try holding a very small wooden dowel between the food dish & bird when you put food in.  The bird may begin to come out for you on the dowel.  Don't ever use the dowel to go at the bird, let the bird get used to it. Try other distractions, like noise on the other side of the cage.  Dangling toys away from the dish has worked for me.

  2. Take it away from her and show that your boss

  3. Every birdie has something they are over protective over. My budgie is over protective over my toes. :P

Its perfectly normal. And they only way to get her not to be over-protective is to say "no" firmly when she tries to bite you. It works! Yeah!!!!!!!
