I have a parakeet and have some Q's

sometimes he poofs his feathers is he mad? also what do i look for to tell a male from a female?

  1. Aww, your parakeet is not mad. When a bird usually poofs their feathers, it usually meas its relaxing its self. Alot of people say that the color of their beaks tell the diff in sexes. Although the best way is just to go to a vet. Hope that helps!

  3. No, he's not mad. He's just adjusting/primping/getting comfy. As for the male vs. female: you can sometimes tell by the color above their beak (the hard shell part with the nostrils) but this is not always accurate and I can't remember which color is supposed to be which.
