Ok its literally a mixture of a parrot and a parakeet, it has the core of a parakeet and the head and wings of a parrot, so here's my barrage of questions

Can it talk?

How old is it before it can learn speech?

How do u keep it entertained?

And how do I make it not freaked out of my hand(It got abused earlier in life, not to seiriously though...)

  1. Parakeets are part of the parrot family and their is no mixture of one or the other, just different species in a particular genus.  You really should have done your research on the particular species before adopting it because different species have different needs so without first knowing the particular species you won't get the correct answers you're looking for.

As for the basic care, all parrots need a good quality bird safe house (cage) and appropriately sized perches, dishes, ropes, swings and toys.  The food you provide depends on the species as well.

As for speaking human, all parrots have the ability to learn, but not all choose to use human language.  Keeping it entertained and socialized will come after you earn it's trust and you do that by first understanding normal and natural parrot behavior (yet another reason to research before you adopt).  You could inadvertently reinforce negative behavior if you don't have a solid understanding of what behaviors are normal and what behaviors can be eliminated.

There is a whole gamut of other information you need to know beforehand as well such as the cost of vet care, proper nutrition, illness, etc. and much more than has been addressed by your questions.

Identify the species first and go from there.

ADD:  So sorry to have offended you that was not my intention.  Please accept my apologies  :-)

  2. You have alot of questions. Check out this website, I think it would be a great help for you. http://bryanrainespetservices.com/Happy_...

  3. just dont be mean to it , try not to force it to stay with you, if you have two bird then it wont talk, repeat words to it constantly and it will eventually learn them, let it fly around in an safe enclosed space and stay with it so it gets used to your presence.

um well you might not have as great a chance to teach it to talk unless you raised it from when it was a baby, but good luck.

also is it a boy or girl, because boys are supposed to be more friendly and will be taught to speak easier, and girls bite more...
